The January thaw arrives by way of Jim Peterik and his annual World Stage show.
Peterik, the Grammy award-winning songwriter of Chicago's Ides of March and .38 Special fame, returns to Wentz Concert Hall at North Central College on Jan. 20 for an 8 p.m. show.
This is the 19th year World Stage show, he said.
"Some years we do more than one, but this is the 19th anniversary of the January World Stage show," he said. "We try to make every World Stage show an event that people will remember and talk about. They are all different, but there are certain elements of the show that remain the same."
Peterik has a lot of well-known names in his Rolodex that he can tap to take part in this show.
"I'm fortunate to have a lot of dear friends in the music business that I've either toured with or written with or just rubbed elbows with through the years," he said. "I'm blessed to have so many talented friends that come out every year and do this World Stage with me."
