Frequently Asked Questions
What is considered a group?
A group consists of 8 or more people: friends, co-workers, family, classmates. As long as there are 8 or more in your party, you are considered a group.
What discount do groups receive?
Groups of 8 or more receive 10% off. Group discounts may only be available for select performances. For groups of 20 or more contact the box office for possible additional discounts at 630-637-SHOW (7469).
What steps do we follow to make a reservation and deposit?
A deposit for groups is required at the time of reservation. If the performance is more than 1 month away from the time of reservation, the deposit is typically half of the total price for the complete group sales reservation. For example, if the reservation is for 9 tickets, a deposit of the price of 5 tickets will be due at the time of purchase.
When do we need to make final payment?
Final payment is due 1 month from the date of performance. For reservations made within 1 month of the performance, full payment is due at the time of reservation.
Where will our group be seated?
Groups are provided the best available seats to choose at the time of purchase. If your group is reserving seats prior to tickets going on sale, you will be given first priority, following subscriber seat placement, before tickets go on sale to the public. Placing your order as early as possible will help ensure you receive the best seating available. For general admission performances, seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, and we encourage your group to arrive closer to the time the house opens for seating, typically a half hour prior to the performance start time, to ensure your group can be seated together.
How do we receive our tickets?
Tickets paid in full are held at Will Call on the night of performance under the purchaser's name. If the purchaser chooses, they can request for tickets to be mailed or picked up from the box office in advance during business hours. If the purchaser is unable to claim the tickets, they must notify the box office prior to the performance of the name of the person who will be claiming them. Will Call opens approximately 1 hour prior to each performance in the lobby of the venue housing the event.
What if we adjust the size of our group?
Prior to making final payment in full, you may adjust your group size higher or lower as needed. If you are adding seats, every effort to seat as close to your original group as possible will be made. Should you lower your seats below the 8 required for groups, each ticket will return to full price. All sales are final. Once payment is made in full, there are no refunds or exchanges for tickets purchased.
What if we need to cancel?
If the deposit or balance has been paid, it will be forfeited and no refund or exchange will be provided. Any tickets purchased that will not be used may be returned to the box office as a tax deductible donation.
How do we reserve our group tickets?
Unfortunately, group reservations cannot be made online at this time. You may reserve tickets for your group by contacting our box office via phone or in person during business hours. Once you select your performance(s), date, time and the total number of seats that you will be needing, as well as any accessibility needs of any kind your group may have, please be prepared to provide the group name, if available, and contact information including name, address, telephone number, email, and payment information. After the initial reservation and payment are made, your contact person will receive a receipt and reservation confirmation for the remaining balance.
What methods of payment may we use?
The North Central College Box Office accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, checks, and cash payments. However, only one payment will be accepted. Individual payments for one group cannot be accepted.
