Larry Ballard: 'Ballard Creations'

Larry Ballard
May 29, 2020- July 19, 2020
Larry Ballard's lifelong obsession for creating art comes from the challenge of using a lot of found objects. Some of his pieces are made with wood from old barns that are being torn down. Others are made using old wood ladders that he incorporates into his constructions. His art can be found in museums and private collections in the United States and Europe. He was commissioned to create a Crucifix for a chapel in the Vatican. Before it was sent to Rome, it was on display at Benedictine University. His life size figure of Saint Benedict is at Benedictine University in the entrance to the library. One of his wall hangings is in the Children's Museum in Naperville.
Schoenherr Art Gallery is in the Wentz Gallery Hall and Fine Arts Center, 171 E. Chicago Ave., Naperville, IL, 60540.
